the glass slippers designed by Christian Louboutin in honor of Disney’s Cinderella Diamond Edition were unveiled in Paris July the 4th, with the limited edition red-soled heels adorned in lace, sparkling butterflies and Swarovski crystals
it was announced in April that famous Christian Louboutin was invited by Disney to re-imagine the fairytale character’s famous shoes to mark the release of Cinderella Blu-ray Diamond Edition and DVD this fall
‘I have been so lucky to have crossed paths with Cinderella, an icon who is so emblematic to the shoe world as well as the dream world,’ said the designer
this isn’t the first time the Cinderella fairytale shoe has provided a source of inspiration, Maison Martin Margiela created its own interpretation of the iconic glass slippers a few years back for a limited edition range
moreover, this November prestigious Harrods will unveil its Christmas windows showcasing couture incarnations of classic Disney Princess dresses by top designers like Valentino, Elie Saab, Versace and Oscar de la Renta
