Design District is the leading event for interior design in the Netherlands, about 150 high-quality participants show their newest and best products in the field of interior design on a 6,000 m² exhibition floor and in the immediate surroundings

who exhibits and what type of visitors to expect there ?

Design District accommodates this year about 150 participants. Both established brands and interesting newcomers show their best brands and latest products

participants of Design District are manufacturers, agents, importers and (young) designers of modern office and contract furniture, home furnishings, lighting, bathrooms, tiles, materials, textiles and flooring. Also trade magazines and associations for interior design, architects and designers will be present

an advisory committee of 4 people from the industry will monitor the quality of the participants. They will select participants reviewing the products and the renewing grade of it. The advisory committee also keeps a close watch on the balance in participants, so there are limited number of places available for each product category

visitors
Interior designers, architects, designers, facility managers, retailers and other professionals are welcome to visit the event at 7, 8 and 9 June 2012. Students and general public with a special interest in top design are welcome on Saturday June 9. During Design District 2012, about 7,000 visitors are expected

the 10th edition of the event for interior design in the Netherlands takes place on a beautiful new location: Taets, Zaandam. The buildings are on the Taets Hembrug site. This is a former munitions factory, where munitions were made ​​and tested secretly until 2003 . Of the 60 monuments in the area there are 2 monumental buildings restored and used as an event location. A great renovated factory in the area of 6,000 square meters offers a perfect accommodation for Design District 2012

the location is a stone’s throw from Amsterdam and easily reached by car and public transport. There are over 1,000 parking spaces next to the venue
