Today, we would like to introduce you to the freshly opened Hong Kong Apple store. We managed to get a first glance for you.
The computer giant’s store opened on Saturday the 1st of September 2011 at IFC mall.

Check our exclusive video. Apple employees are not allowed to be interviewed but we will interview one of the managers very soon.

It was and usually is very crowded but we were served in less than 15 minutes as we bought an ipad2 for the BuyMeDesign team. An apple person greeted us at the entry and found immediately a sales person who was really helpful.

Only problem: Ipad2 are all over the place but they didn’t have enough inventory for some accessories we wanted (the HDMI cable etc.). Arrgh !

Inside the front door you can admire the Apple Store’s signature glass staircase with an oversized Apple logo and the view of Hong Kong’s cityscape in the background.

Transparency is one of the key elements of the store’s design. During the day, the amount of natural light that pours into the space is striking.

The blue-shirted Apple service army, drawn from a total roster of 300 employees at this store location alone, buzzes around the store showing all the latest designs of the brand.

The opening of Hong Kong’s Apple store is joined this week by the opening of Shanghai’s third (and China’s fifth) Apple store.
