What makes it unique?

The Boombottle is a speaker system build into wasted plastic containers with thrown away speakers component. The plastic bottles were ink containers thrown away from the printing company and oil containers collect from grocery store. They are air sealed, water proof, rugged yet has a big internal volume, which makes it a nice speaker enclosure. When attached with speaker drivers taken from old speakers, added with LED lights, it became a weather proof, glow in the dark speaker, great for playing and sharing music outdoor.

Kevin Cheung

Kevin, Cheung Wai Chun is a young product designer based in Hong Kong, graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnics School of Design is 2009. He is dedicated to Upcycling design, by transforming industrial wastes into new mass-produced consumer products. Designing new products from wastes, this is a fairly new area to be explore for product design, from materials sourcing to manufacturing process and also being social responsible.
