all supporting the founder of the project: Florence Coirier Giraudon

Florence started her career as an Art Director working for luxury French brands. After having worked as a consultant for Louis Vuitton, she joined the digital agency e-Mazarine, as Strategic Development Director for e-CRM and e-commerce. After she moved to Hong Kong, she became agent for the design magazine tl.mag. She passes on her expertise in the fields of design, fashion, leather goods, jewellery, spirits and crafts, to her new project buymedesign.com

BuyMedesign.com blog was launched at DETOUR - Hong Kong Business Of Design Week, in late November 2010.

Having met many designers and being a designer myself, I know what it takes to design, produce and sell design products.

Even though many designers have great products and true talent, only a few achieve being noticed and thus getting the success they deserve. @buymedesign.com, our small family business, we believe that there are many talented emerging designers from Asia, Europe and elsewhere in the world who deserve more visibility and to get feedback from potential buyers. As a buyer myself, I love simple, authentic, eco-friendly, beautifully-crafted, stylish, inventive, and, most of all, creative design ideas.

We want all of these styles to be on our platform … from the concept stage to the spot design community to established products sold on the ecommerce platform.

I am so thrilled when buymedesign.com introduces new designers to the world with the buymedesign.com Spot Design Awards @Detour 2010, attended by more than 25,000 people – Business of Design Week in Hong Kong.

Here, buyers get exclusive or fresh products at reasonable rates. Not only do we strongly help Designers to promote their brands and products, our commitment to the design community is also to reward our audience, who spots products and offers feedback on designer’s prototypes or objects.
